FAQ:
1. What if I don't know much about a student's research topic? Can I still be an effective advisor? Yes. Even if you're not knowledgeable in the content area, you will learn a lot about a new topic and be inspired by the student's passion for their respected fields and topics. 2. How do I ensure that the student and I are able to meet? Advisor pairings are determined based on mutual availability during the school day. As the school year progresses, email and website feedback can supplement one-on-one meetings. 3. How can I learn more about being an advisor? Once you sign up for a Capstone duty, we will hold an advisee meeting where you will go over the specifics of the program and you will meet your advisee. 4. Why should I be an advisor? Our students need you. You are an integral part of this program and they do not take your help for granted. |
